Weekly Photo Challenge: Awakening

Wild Mushrooms marked.jpgI love autumn mainly because as the weather cools the wild mushrooms begin to emerge and awaken from their long slumber. Fungi (mushrooms) have always been a fascination to me and I have always loved to capture them through my camera lens. A few years ago I did a blog post featuring a series of wild mushrooms. If your interested in having a look here is the link.

Photo Challenge: Textures

On my most recent hike I stumbled across this old rusted dog trap. Wild dogs are a big issue for farmers in rural Australia, so it isn’t uncommon to see these traps on private properties. But I didn’t expect to see this old trap sitting off the side of a hiking trail. The thick layers of rust make this once intimidating trap look intriguing. textures, fox trap, the daily post.jpg
