Let’s Garden Together! – Video

Each week I have been looking at this garden knowing that I needed to get stuck into it and remove the weeds. I am in the process of re-landscaping the area which I would love to hear your thoughts on as to what I should do with this space! In this video I am testing out some Japanese garden tools which I purchased on my most recent trip to Japan a few months ago. So come and garden with me and lets have some fun!

Until next time happy gardening! By Bonnie-Marie Hibbs ©BMHPhotographyTheGardener’sNotebook2017

  1. Great work! The garden is looking beautiful, i’m very envious of it!

Japanese saws cut on the pull stroke, so you begin with the end nearest the handle on the branch and pull it back towards you finishing at the tip. The curvature definitely takes a bit of getting used to, but once you are comfortable with it you will find it one of your favorites to use.

  2. Great work Bonnie!
I think you should do what Monty Don from Gardener’s world did. And make a white garden where you plant only white flowers or pick a colour that you like and plant only that colour. It also looks like a good place for a frog Pond!!!

  3. On another thought, it looks quiet shady and you do have a thing for japenses garden (if I understand correctlyly). So maybe a Japanese garden with plenty of understory maples and statutes…something to remind you of your trip to Japan!!

I could go on for ever …lol..
