Sneak Peek: Melbourne International flower and garden show!

G’day everyone,

Here is a sneak peek of the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. The show opens to the public tomorrow, Wednesday 26th of March, and ends on the 30th of March. Gates will open at 9:00am and close at 5:00pm on all days. If you have some free time come and visit the show to see and meet Australia’s most talented landscape designers.

This year I was privileged to be able to help out Phillip Withers with his edible garden showpiece named ‘Here and Now.’ It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun working with Phillip. I must admit I feel truly inspired after spending the day behind the scenes at the garden show. I now wish to re-create and design areas of my own garden.

Here are a few photos of Phillip Withers’ garden showpiece.

Once again Gardenworld nursery has entered the hanging basket competition.

This year we decided to do something a little quirky so we planted up some ‘Bogs’ boots with a number of different spreading perennials.

The Garden Library is looking fantastic and is a great show piece, and I am looking forward to seeing the finished result later this week. I will have another post up later this week with more detailed photos of the different show gardens, floral art and shops that are at this year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
